The First 48 hours to 72 hours

The First Few Days::::::
Make the transition easy for your puppy with these helpful hits::
  1. Decide on a name an use it consistenly.
  2. Limit visitors for the first few days.
  3. Keep your puppy in sight at all times to ensure correct behavior.
  4. Never disturb a sleeping puppy.
  5. Do not leave the new puppy unattented with very small children or other family pets until you're sure everyone is ready.
  6. Teach your family the proper way to hold a puppy by placing one hand under the hindquarters an the other hand under the chest. Never pick up a puppy by the front paws or scruff of the neck.
